FURUNO proudly exhibited the state-of-the-art NavNet 3D series products, which include blackbox type (without monitor) the NavNet 3D-BB and 12" and 8" MFD (multi function display) series. The satellite compass SC-30 and the navigational instruments FI-50 series, which can be incorporated into the NavNet 3D system utilizing NMEA 2000 network, were also exhibited at METS, reiterating FURUNO's enhanced network connectivity of its product line-up. The presentation of the NavNet 3D was quite a successful, giving a tremendous impact on the recreational marine industry.

On the first day of the show, a press conference introducing the NavNet 3D was also held at a conference room in the same venue. The press conference, which was titled "FURUNO presents the European premiere of NavNet 3D" attracted more than 100 guests including European dealers and journalists, a lot more than expected. The conference room was so packed that several people had to stand to watch the premiere.

At the press conference, the NavNet 3D was presented by Mr. Dean Kurutz, Marketing Manager, and Mr. Eric Kunz, Senior Product Manager from FURUNO USA, who successfully gave the world premiere presentation at Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show. The NavNet 3D was impressively introduced with striking details and actual screen presentation. Ever such a lot of questions were thrown from the interested attendees, and the question-and-answer session continued even after the scheduled closing time of the conference. This shows that strong interests in the NavNet 3D are held amongst those in the European recreational marine industry.
