Power Boat > Viking 50

  • The dashboard layout is well organized and the four 15" monitors look right at home flush mounted into the console. Focused on making it easy for captains/skippers to work with the steering and controls, all of the equipment is easy to reach and operate in this ergonomic design.
  • All of the equipment used when entering a harbor fit nicely within the console box. It is worth noting that the bow thruster control is placed at the right-hand side, which is a convenient position for operation. This is a perfect layout, allowing for optimal performance from the Palm Beach Style steering.
  • The boat carries a full compliment of equipment to assure safe navigation. The equipment and instruments are kept within the operator's sightline, so vital information will not be overlooked.
  • The boat is rigged with two NavNet 3D Black Box units, one of which is displaying the radar overlay (overlaying radar targets on top of a vector chart). In addition, an autopilot is placed at the best accessible location, so that the operator can respond to any hazardous situations while cruising at high speeds.
  • Four video camera systems which are connected to NavNet 3D MFDBBs provide a method to monitor blind spots such as engine room and inner cabin. Thermal Imaging Camera enables safe night cruising or to conduct continual night vision surveillance.
